Comic books have been looked as a second rate form of art and literature. Most parents and educators preferred that children should read long books that were difficult to read and imagine. Even though, most of those books were proclaimed as “the classics”, that doesn’t mean that you should give them to your children. However, a new generation of educators and teachers understand the idea between the combination of picture and text.

Even though the most comic books are not suited for teens and children, the truth remains: they are very powerful for developing child’s brain capacity and the possibility to analyze the literature, in the same time it improves their proficiency in the language. ·         There are many complex words in comic books than in other publications – In numerous studies; experts stated that comics include different types of higher-order words when compared to other texts that our children read. By this, we can conclude, that comic books will teach them how to use those words in situations without teaching them out loud and without any example.

·         It improves memory – When children start to read comic books, they engage in a combination of visual and literate, which means that reader should use the comic book in order to predict and revise in the same time. That brings us to the moment when your children develop their brains according to these statements.

Children should read both literature and comic books in order to develop their imagination, creativity, to understand the use of language and how to combine visual and literate perspective.
