The Similarities Between Manga And Western Comics – Superheroes

It is difficult to talk about superheroes and their characteristics without stating and considering the original source: the manga in Japan and the comics in the USA. We can find superhero comics in most countries; however, the most famous ones originate from the USA. But still, you can find numerous superheroes in Japan too.

There are numerous links between Japan and the USA. After the World War Two, these two countries were a friends and foes to each other and simultaneous model to each other. That is where we draw a comparison between manga and US comics. Of course, Japan also has Superheroes such as Astroboy, Akira, Godzilla as a super villain, and we cannot deny that America influenced the creation of those superheroes.
We can state also that cultural differences shaped those heroes differently, but in the core, the idea between that two worlds were the same. Good fights evil and that was the story that started thousands of years ago through mythological stories.

It is important to think about manga through historical context and to explain its origins and form as very distinctive and adaptive. We cannot say that these two styles are the same because people who understand the idea of them can easily see the difference.

However, the initial course of action is the same and that is the main reason why they prevailed the test of time. It doesn't matter if you want to sell old comic books from Japan or America because these two share same goals. Of course, storytelling is different and writing style, but at the end, every superhero is the same.
